If there is one thing in life that we can be certain of it's change. The world is always changing and evolving and the same can be said for our lives, our relationships and our families. Change can be scary. Change can be hard. Change can be unpredictable. But, change can also be good. We must find the good things in change and we must rely on those loving family members and friends to help us through times of change. This family is a wonderful example of that. They love and support each other and are always willing to help one another out during hard times, especially those of change. Currently one of these beautiful family members, Mindy, has to be separated from her sweet husband as he steps up to serve our country and attend basic training. I admire those who have the courage to step up and serve and I definitely admire the spouses and families who also make the sacrifices necessary for them to do so. It can't be easy and I can't honestly say I know what it's like. The longest I have been away from my husband was about a month and I hated every second! I can't imagine how hard it must be. But, what I do know is this family is strong! I know that if anyone can do it, it's them and I know that they will get through it together.

Thank you to all the service men and women and their families for your daily sacrifices and hardships. I am so grateful to live in a free country and I am so grateful for those who help protect that freedom! I am so blessed that I was able to capture these images for this family before Shane left. I hope they will cherish them as much as I cherish my time with them.
